2014 was undoubtedly the year of learning, experiences (good and bad equally), and yes transformations for me. So I thought why not share this wisdom with people out here. Maybe my experiences help you to avoid some problems, maybe it just motivates you, lifts your spirits, whatever! The point is like all my statuses it is one big one for you.
This year I learned
1. How to take a stance when I know I am right: This is very important for everyone to understand. Once in a while when you are deeply convinced by something that has moved your heart, learn to put your foot down for it and be adamant. Let the world call you strong headed or stubborn. You should not be stopped by the lack of their vocabulary for the word determined. Fight for your right till you drop. Rarely you'll get anything by asking. Stay put. For sometimes what we lack is the Resilience.2. How failures are always temporary yet they have lasting impacts: When you fail, you are open to the world of vulnerabilities and insecurities. You have to beat the odds. It is just a matter of time. Life is very long. Right now some people are ahead of you, some are behind you. In the end the race is long and the only competitor you have is you yourself. Fail is not a negative word, like your approach to success went a little wrong. Just remember a simple thing you learn a spelling when you get it wrong in dictation, you learn a formula when you get it wrong in an exam, and a lesson when you "Fail" in life. This is how God teaches us. His way!! Smart isn't he/ she?
3. How to utilize "Time": This year I took a drop , it means I sat at home for straight 8 months doing practically nothing monetary wise. My friends started working, some went for higher education while i was preparing for my MBA exams. The decision may go wrong, maybe I don't even get a great percentile yet these 8 months were the most rewarding months of life. I educated myself : with books, with experiences, with people, with right networking, with professionalism, with perspectives, and with LIFE. It gave me time to reassess the kind of person I had become and how to change it. I studied a lot. I read so so so many books. History, mythology, medicine, romance, thrillers. I was sitting at home yet traveling the world via my books. For some will term it justifying my drop or waste of time but I believe this was the best investment I did.
4. How to: 1. Use net banking.
2. Go to banks.
3.Pay electricity bills
4. Get adhaar card
5. post letters.
6. Write articles
7. Open a blog.
8. Publicize a cause.
9. Be bold and write what I want
10. Argue with Logic.
11. Travel alone.
12. Talk to Govt officials and get work done without bribes.
Phew!!!! yes I learned it all.</a>
5. Family, friends and love are three pillars of life: They are equally capable to keep you going. But still never let any one of them over power the other two. It should not be a question of set theory with three intersecting circles rather they should be three circles touching each other. In times of extreme crises, your family will be there, you will know who your true friends are.
6. How to stay independent and stay strong: In this one year there were so many ups and downs in my emotional state (My facebook wall is a clear example) At times had so many people to back me up, at times none.
"I learned how to pat my back when I was alone, how to wrap my hands around myself and give myself a self hug, Crying is good smiling is even better. At last loving myself is as important as loving other people."
7. Lessons on Love, trust and faith: This year I learned how to trust my instincts when it came to people. I understood that not everyone can reciprocate the kind of love you are willing to give them. Faith and beliefs are my strongest stakes. They both should be unshakable.
8. Music impacts you and your subconscious: The kind of songs you choose to listen makes or breaks your mood. If you listen to sad, sappy songs you are likely to get depressed. Come on put that crazy party song and pull up your socks and I bet all blues would turn to yellows.
9. Writing helps: Penning down what you feel will help lessen and ease your pains. It is like a get away from that stiffling volcano you hold within all ready to explode. I wrote stories, articles, poetry and even statuses some of which you loved , some you hated. It got me followers and friends and also the confidence that yes at least I can convey what I feel. I am always motivated, inspired and high now.
Anyone can write , you just have to be passionate about the cause.
10. Everyone is unique and amazing: This year I met around a thousand people virtually and in reality who have helped me and supported me. Everyone has some lil bad and a lot of great things in them. You just need to figure the good ones out and ignore the bad ones.
Above all I learned how to keep the door of my life open for people to leave and arrive. I became self dependent. I found happiness in myself. I started helping people all over.
Happy new year in advance :)
